The Licensing Act 2003
Like most Village Halls we have submitted our request for a variation to the West Somerset District Council. The application has taken a considerable time to put together but has met with a certain amount of resistance from some of the neighbours of the hall.
Documentation as submitted to the Licensing Authority is linked below. Following a fairly heated meeting on the 15th September the Village Hall Committee are recommending that ALL private hires will finish at midnight. However as a committee we will still be backing the request for a license to serve alcohol until 1:00am Friday and Saturday nights.
