Roadwater Community Cinema

Plans are in hand to establish a village cinema society, using high tech projection and sound systems. This was trialled with the help of the charity Moviola but sadly it can no longer support us so we have decided to purchase our own equipment. Village surveys showed that the cinema project was very popular, allowing people of all ages to see current box office films on a big screen without the need to travel miles to commercial cinemas. Organisers also hope to screen classic films and a Saturday matinee for youngsters. The plan is for this to be up and running early in 2012.

The idea is for the society to be run by the Trust as a non-profit making facility for Roadwater and surrounding communities with proceeds funding equipment maintenance.
